Today I have an awesome FREE resource for my fellow crocheters!
Crochet pattern organization is so VERY important when you want to develop a reusable pattern.
At first, I would jot down my patterns on scrap paper found around the house. I’m talking things like backs of envelopes, discarded grocery lists, and even backs of receipts! Can you see how stressful it could be to keep track of these things? I finally started to keep all my patterns written down in a neat, consistent format so that I NEVER have to wonder about any of the details again.
I started printing out these sheets so that I could put them into a binder and always have the pattern I made written out in a consistent and easy to understand manner.
It’s a FREE PDF that you can print out yourself right HERE!
As a side note, I always write out the pattern in pencil first, then I’ll go back and write it in ink. Maybe use a cool color to write the final version out!
Sometimes I’ll add some of the following to the page:
- Photo of the finished product
- A scrap of the yarn used
- Extra notes at the bottom
How do YOU organize your patterns? Comment below, I’d LOVE to know!
