As a mother it can be really hard to put my own needs first. And mostly my wants get totally tossed to the side. BUT I’ve made constant efforts to stop that kind of thinking. I’m making more time for me to do the things I want to do just because I want to do them! And I want YOU to do them too!
I learned how to crochet to make blankets and hats for my first baby. I then started making items for my Etsy shop. I rarely made something just for me or if I did it was always a small coffee sleeve or something. Then under the guise of making a blanket for my son, I took a huge amount of time over the course of a year to crochet this Link because it’s a character I love from a video game franchise I love. I call it my son’s, but honestly, it’s mine.
And I’m totally fine with that.
I don’t even offer to make these types of blankets in my shop because of the true cost of it. I spent so many hours working on it, managing yarn, color changing without tangling, etc.
This week I’m challenging YOU to take on a passion project. It doesn’t have to enhance your life in any other way besides that it just makes you feel happy. It’s all about some self care!
What will you do this week for self care?
This Thursday, I will be sending out an e-mail to the YarnHearts that will include a FREE printable crochet binder page to help keep your passion project organized and planned out!
